Substitute Positions

The District has a continual need for substitute teachers to work in our schools. For ALL information regarding substitute teaching in West Genesee, please contact the West Genesee Department of Human Resources.

This webpage provides a variety of resources for substitutes such as employment applications and other helpful tools.

Please be aware that starting July 1, 2016, the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) is implementing a new required registration procedure for substitute teachers, and substitute teaching assistants who hold Permanent, Professional and/or Level III Teaching Assistant certificates.

If you hold permanent, professional certification or Level III Teaching Assistant certifications issued before July 1, 2016, log into the TEACH website during your birth month to register your certificate.

Effective January 29, 2018, all per-diem substitute teachers, per-diem substitute teaching assistants, and per-diem substitute teacher aides in the West Genesee School District are required to use this system to accept daily substitute openings.
