Substitute Hours
As a per diem substitute, BOCES Sub Service will be contacting you between the hours of 5:30 AM and 10:30 AM for the current day’s job openings and between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM for jobs that start on a future date. If an attempt to contact you by the service is made and the line remains busy for more than three minutes or if there is no answer, you will be considered not available for work on that day.
If you have accepted a long-term assignment with another district, please contact HR at 315-487-4555 so that your calling status will be placed on hold until you are available again or to remove your name from our list if you do not anticipate resuming.
Any change in status, phone number, mailing address or name change needs to be initiated through the HR office. Please contact HR when a change occurs to assure that we have current information on file.

West Genesee Intermediate School
Start Time: 7:40 a.m.
End Time: 3:00 p.m.
Half-Day Start Time: 11:20 a.m.
Elementary Schools
Start Time: 8:20 a.m.
End Time: 3:40 p.m.
Half-Day Start Time: 12:00 noon
The per-diem rate of pay will be as follows for school year 2023-24:
Substitute Teachers: The rate you receive is determined based on days worked in the current year or previous school year, starting with the first day worked.
.5 - 30 days = $140 60.5 - to all days = $160
30.5 - 60 days = $150 Non-certified = $122
Substitute Teaching Assistants: $105 per day
